Austin, TX: Home to the Bachelor

Since the airing of the last episode of the Bachelor last week, Brad Womack and Emily Maynard have announced they will be relocating back to Womack's hometown, beautiful Austin, Texas.

Womack with fiance Maynard
Despite rumors that Womack is moving to North Carolina to be with his fiance, Maynard and her 5-year-old daughter Ricki have decided to move to Austin, Texas to be the late Bachelor.

"She feels like the best thing to do is to give this a real shot and put her heart into it by moving to Austin for the summer," says an insider close to Emily, 25, reported by The Huffington Post.

The couple will not be living together however. Maynard and Ricki will move into their own condo.

Brad and his twin brother are the proud owners of four bars in Austin, Texas. The most popular ones being the Dizzy Rooster and the Chuggin' Monkey which are located on the infamous Sixth Street.

Womack made it very clear from the beginning of the show he did not want to leave his hometown and his career.

“I have some very strong roots there. I don’t want to relocate. I have a career in Austin.”

Welcome home Brad, Emily, and Ricki.

  1. I didn't watch the Bachelor this season so I had no idea he was from Austin and definitely didn't know he owned four bars..cool! I wonder how long they will actually last. I am sure she will be back in North Carolina soon enough. Good post!
